BISHOP CHARGE

BISHOP CHARGE RT. REV'D DR. O.A. ADEROGBA In a world that constantly celebrates freedom, expression, and choice, our theme this synod, “Liberalism and Liberty: Little Things That Matter,” calls us to pause and reflect deeply on what true liberty means, especially as Christians living in a diverse and rapidly changing society. 1 Corinthians 8:8 reminds us that while food does not bring us closer to God, “we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do”, our actions, however small, have profound impacts on those around us. Liberty, therefore, is not simply about what we are free to do, but about how we use our freedom to love, build, and protect others. To the Church, this theme is a call to maturity. GBV Youth Conference Highlight

Youth Conference Highlight This year’s Youth Conference carried a powerful theme: “Ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20). The sessions, prayers, and fellowship all centered around one clear call ,to represent Christ boldly in our schools, communities, and daily lives. As young people, we were reminded that being an ambassador means carrying God’s message of love, truth, and hope wherever we go. With energy, passion, and faith, the youth stood up to say: “We are not ashamed of the gospel, we are Christ’s representatives in this generation.”

Colour Party by the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade 🇳🇬

Colour Party by the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade 🇳🇬 One of the most striking moments of the synod was when the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade marched in with the Colour Party, a beautiful display of discipline, honor, and commitment. As they carried the flags forward with pride and purpose, it wasn’t just ceremony, it was symbolic. The Colour Party represents unity, loyalty, and service ,reminding us that we all march under the banner of Christ, with courage and faith. We’re proud of our Brigade members for their passion and dedication. They didn’t just carry colors, they carried meaning, and set the tone for a synod filled with purpose.
